okay anyway i said i already thought of how to make this post about kubosai so here it is hehehe.. (this will not make sense without the context of the other post)

imagine kubosai get together, but after a few months of trying his best to help kusuo out of his shell, aren starts getting worried that kusuo just isnt into it or is regretting starting the relationship..

he never initiates dates or physical contact, and aren has been waiting for a sign that its going well so that he can say i love you or kiss him for the first time, but.. he doesnt think it is going well, so that hasnt happened yet..

he always goes along with arens date ideas, and seems to lean into his touch usually but aren cant think of ONE time where kusuo initiated it beyond a brush of shoulders or hands, so forgive him if he maybe is feeling a little dejected..

kusuo has started doing the three taps thing by now, but aren doesnt think much of it since hes been doing it at least a little bit around all their friends.. he doesnt catch the fact that kusuo does it so much to specifically aren, every single time they come close.. like so much that hes started a habit of every time they hug (which isnt often to be fair, but it happens) he'll splay his hands out on arens back or shoulders and tap three times separately with every finger before letting go. he does the same thing with every finger whenever aren holds his hand. and when aren puts his head on kusuos shoulder during lunch or break at school, he pats his shoulder three times before settling it there EVERY TIME.

and then kurumi tells the whole group about kusuos three tap love code..

and he remembers so many instances where kusuo has done this to him.. but his memory of it is a bit foggy, since he hadnt thought to pay any attention to it.

so he starts to. and suddenly, kusuo is saying "i love you" a few times a day. in every conversation. after every shift in mood or movement.

and on top of how often it happens, aren knows his boy enough to know that hes doing it even less than before since he got so embarrassed by his mom telling everyone. the times where he does do it, which is VERY often as i said, its because he was in the moment and forgot to even be embarrassed.. now that he knows aren KNOWS, and can hear arens thoughts every time he does it, he always jolts a bit and flushes red when he realizes what he did, but he never tries to deny or take it back.

so one day, theyre just watching a movie side by side, kusuo is kind of curled up with his arms around his legs, and during a sweet moment in the movie kusuo brings a hand down just to tap arens three times and then return it to where it was. and aren OUT LOUD says "i love you too." and kusuo jolts slightly out of shock and turns to look at him. aren just rests his weight against kusuo and smiles down at him, and kusuo huffs at him but leans in anyway..

so when people ask, "who said i love you first?" TECHNICALLY aren said it out loud before kusuo so kusuo always says aren said it first but aren always tells people kusuo said it first, and neither of them elaborate to dissuade the confusion..

i think ku goes to the bottom of the ocean and cries a bit (he tells himself its just ocean water but in the back of his mind he knows better) and spme sea ghost sees and is like AyeAye Matey Im Snotching To The Perv and toritsuka is like What the fuck man. In the big fucking book im speedreadinf right now they have a part where the dead mom is talking to her son and shes like "Kings grow to be very large and powerful, simple actions like sitting or stepping can ACTUALLY BETTER AND FAR MORE AUTISTIC EXAMPLE five hargreeves of umbrella academy fame says something along the lines of"people like us will never save enough lives to make up for the ones we take. this is the price of being powefful, sometimes we step on ants" and i think its very kusup coded. iirc viktor (tua) says something about how as a kid hed always get sad when people stepped on the ants and i NO STOP sorry i almost went on a tua rant instead of saiki. Anyways I think in a way saiki and toritsuka kind of embody the interaction between five and viktor in their own respective ways. actually i think reita is a lot more klaus coded but you arent here to listen to me draw autistic parallels youre here for torisai.

i think that kusuo often goes to desolate areas that are densely populated with non-human entities because it helps remind him that all creatures deserve to be understood and respected and if he cannot blame one fish for swimming in a school then he cant blame his friends for wanting to be near him. idk how my brain is fried right now but it makes sense to ME.

thankfully i imagine all wards and subsequently heroes are required to learn morse code for emergencies, but it also comes in handy for changers like kusuo who sometimes get into a state where they cant speak verbally. kusuo has his telepathy, but he cant use it in long bursts in public without it becoming obvious because he starts growing insect like antenna or smt, and it also cant be used over electronic devices. kuusuke IS working on being able to record whatever frequencies the telepathy projects at, though, which will come in handy for many capes aside from kusuo too

so for walkie talkies or radios and those endbringer armbands, kusuo can still communicate with a decent chunk of other people, though for endbringers theres a higher chance other participants might not be able to understand morse code (but tbf Dragon can probably translate it over the communication channel)

it becomes less relevant once theyve left because kusuo will just default to telepathy with his brother when he cant speak, but still

hmm getting ideas for a saiki k patahumans au. again. but this time its still different from the other two i posted. its kinda a combo between them both lmfao. idk dont have anything conrete enough to share and dunno if i would anyways. no promsies and not tagging this with anything cause its a baseless ramble ahsgs

i think i get what youre saying about kurumi and i agree.. but i still really dont think it takes the blame off of her.. you have changed my opinion a little, i definitely dont think shes as bad as kuniharu anymore, but i still believe that as a mother, she is responsible for the way she raises her children.. she isnt responsible for the way kuniharu treats them, but her seeing their abuse and doing nothing still makes her a bystander, even if she doesnt really realize

i honestly just want people to understand that even if you dont want to call her neglectful, she still played a big part in kusuo and kusukes traumas and maybe it isnt entirely her fault or she wasnt aware of it, but it STILL happened.. they both obviously love her very much, but it seems like kusuo himself doesnt understand that anything about his upbringing was really wrong, BECAUSE he was raised to think he didnt deserve better..

with kaidos mom, i think youre thinking of it as SHES like that because KAIDOS like that but remember that shes his mother and this is clearly how shes raised her kids their entire lives, as we see with his sister.. HE is like that because of HER.. its a coping mechanism ʅ（´﹏`）ʃ hes lived his whole life with his mom not treating him like the kid he is, so when he isnt around her he acts like a total kid because its the only way he will EVER get to.. maybe some people might not agree that thats abuse, but it definitely messes with his head and leaves him with permanent trauma..

and im sorry to people who ship this but i just dont see how two separate styles of "abuse" (thats how i think of it, but other people clearly dont.. just two toxic parenting styles maybe) would "balance each other out.." like i honestly just cant see them agreeing on a way to parent their kids and it would end up exactly the same, because kurumi would just accept it the way shes done with kuniharu and watch whatever she does with the kids.. kaido is arguably also autistic coded like kusuo, and his mom not really knowing how to treat him would translate even WORSE to kusuo in my opinion

admittedly, all the super casual bashing of saikis dad makes me really uncomfortable, like i dont totally disagree but i wish we didnt just all do it in the middle of other completely innocent headcanoning 😭 its never tagged or warned..

my personal opinions on kuniharu are not as extreme as some are on here, like i think he sucks but i dont think hes a genuinely bad person, he was just thrown into a situation he didnt know how to handle.. he reminds me of those parents who prepare to have a baby and get pregnant on purpose, but then the baby has a disability and suddenly, everything changes.. because they didnt prepare for this unlikely scenario, but it happened anyway, and now they have to figure out where to go from here.. kurumi and kuniharu BOTH made mistakes and didnt handle their genius/psychic kids in ways they shouldve, but its because they werent prepared for it
